San Mar Deputy Executive Director JericaWashington LCSW-C has been appointed by Governor Wes Moore to the Maryland BehavioralHealthAdvisoryCouncil.
The Council also consists of 13 members, appointed by the Maryland Department of Health Secretary, 28 Ex-Officio Members and 14 representatives from the community. The State of Maryland has established the Maryland BehavioralHealthAdvisoryCouncil to promote and advocate for planning, policy, workforce development, and services with a culturally and linguistically competent approach to ensure a coordinated, quality system of care that is outcome-guided and that integrates prevention, recovery, evidence–based practices, and cost-effective strategies that enhance behavioralhealth services across the state.
After beginning her service this month Washington shared, “As I continue on the journey to support programming at San Mar, I look forward to this opportunity in advocacy to ensure a quality system of care not only for the people we work alongside, but for the greater community living and working alongside those living with health needs.”
