TREATMENT FOSTER CARE CHILD CARE
Person needed to provide supervision to children during the monthly foster parent training sessions. Training occurs second Thursday. One session is offered in the morning from 9:00 until 11:00 and a second session is offered that evening from 6:00 to 8:00. A San Mar staff member will also be present. Location: San Mar’s Boonsboro Campus. Must complete a background clearance.
JACK E. BARR CENTER FOR WELL-BEING
Contact San Mar to find out best opportunities to support the mental health services at the Jack E. Barr Center for Well-Being at (301) 733-9067. Must complete a background clearance and sign a confidentiality agreement. Orientation and training will be provided.
BESTER COMMUNITY OF HOPE – SPECIAL EVENTS SUPPORT
Persons are needed to help with set up and clean up during the various special events put on throughout the year (Community Block Party, Babypalooza, seminars, etc.).
BESTER COMMUNITY OF HOPE – SPECIAL PROJECTS SUPPORT
Volunteers are needed to assist with special projects. Such projects are not regular events. Examples include: accompanying staff in doing door to door surveys, or joining with numerous others for a community cleanup day. A special emphasis is placed on those who live in the South End, but all can support the effort!
